Greetings and Happy New Year! Christmas has come and gone, and here we are in 2026. We are still in the time of Epiphany, when the Spirit led the Magi by the Star to find the Christ child.

February 18 is Ash Wednesday, which begins the period of Lent. Starting February 25, for five Wednesdays, we will have
our traditional Lenten lunch, with other churches in our community.

As we move toward Easter, during this time of Lent, take some time to “reconnect” with Jesus through repentance and reflection. Like Nicodemus who came to Jesus at night with questions, ask yourself, “where do I need to see be enlightened to become a better follower of Jesus?”

Greetings Church Family,
Lent is near its end, and the Season of Easter begins this Easter Sunday. We started our journey on Ash Wednesday, when we heard, “Dust you are and to dust you shall return.” On Easter Sunday, we celebrate, Christ is risen indeed, death has been swallowed up in victory. During this season of repentance, I hope and pray that God has been working in your life.

On Easter Sunday, we celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection gives us forgiveness and eternal life. .

Greetings Church Family,
Summer has arrived. Things slow down for our church during the summer. I think about the organic metaphors Jesus uses about the growth of his kingdom. It is easy to focus on visible results, and what we have to do to make them happen. But the growth of Jesus’ kingdom in and us and through us is a mystery.

Welcome to July everyone! Katie and I will be taking our vacation to Maine July 14 to August 9. We look forward to seeing all our children and their spouses, and our grandson! We do not get to see our children very often, so this is very
special.

Greetings Church Family,
As the summer begins to wind down, I hope you have also been able to take special time to be with family and friends. Katie and I are enjoying our vacation, and we have gotten much needed rest and relaxation. It has been a special time to get away, and to see our three children and their spouses, and our grandson (who is now crawling all over the place!).
